Companies do not trust themselves when it comes to "bullfighting" digitalization

Post by ayeshshiddika11 »

The digital revolution has companies in a real state of anxiety. They are aware that digitalisation is a "must", but at the same time doubt their own ability to tackle the many digital challenges they face.

According to a recent global study by PricewaterhouseCoopers ( PwC ), only 52% of senior managers rate the digital skills of the companies they serve as high-quality. In 2014 and 2015, however, this percentage was significantly higher: 66% and 67% respectively.

Although many companies are putting all their effort into approaching digitalisation, the truth is that not all of them are reaping the desired results.

Only 55% of executives surveyed by new zealand phone data PwC in their report say (with conviction and certainty) that digital projects launched within their companies are implemented successfully.

When it comes to tackling digitalisation, 63% of companies regret not having sufficiently qualified employees , while 61% admit that their companies are not up to date when it comes to technology.

59% of executives also report problems when integrating new digital applications into existing IT systems, while 42% believe that slow and inflexible processes are the driving force behind digitalisation within companies.

Ten years ago, companies invested 16.8% of their digital budgets in cutting-edge technologies . However, it is surprising that a decade later this percentage has only grown to 17.9%.

Another worrying fact revealed by PwC in its report is that only 68% of the executives surveyed say that CEOs are directly involved in the digital transformation processes of the companies they manage.
