WHAT IS MINDFULNESS AND WHAT IS ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH EMOTIONAL EDUCATION?

Post by ayeshshiddika11 »

Mindfulness is a technique used to train and improve attention and is a central concept for emotional education. As it has so much to do with the way we manage our focus of attention, it is also called full attention.

Although mindfulness is often associated with Buddhism or other world religions that use it implicitly or explicitly, it is taught without Eastern or religious connotations or terminology, since it is a basic, human ability to connect with the present.

This ability helps us to be intimate with our own experience, whether pleasant or unpleasant, to be in the present and to pay attention consciously, with interest, curiosity and acceptance. It allows us to consciously work through stress and other life challenges by accepting them without judging.
Mindfulness teaching ghana phone data encourages academic flourishing from an emotional and social perspective, promoting student learning from a state of well-being, strengthening the brain circuits responsible for attention, self-control, empathy, etc. Today, children are so overstimulated that teaching them to calm their minds and focus their attention from an early age will positively affect their long-term health and well-being, improving their personal relationships and their academic results.

It seems like a small thing; it seems very simple to live in the present moment, but, although we think we have conscious control of our attention, in reality we are often thinking about the past, the future, or rather, we jump from one to the other. In fact, learning to control this ability requires practice to perfect it. The two main techniques on which mindfulness is based are: breathing and relaxation.
