LCommunications agencies Axicom and Ideal have announced that they will merge on July 1. This union is part of the merger process between BCW and Hill & Knowlton, which will conclude in July, to form the new entity Burson .


Axicom is an international communications agency that stands out for its specialization in technology , innovation and the digital economy . With a global presence (including Spain) and a client portfolio in key sectors, Axicom has established itself as a leader in the communications industry. Axicom was founded in 1994 and quickly positioned itself as a key agency in the field of technological communication. Over time, it has expanded its reach and services, integrating innovative solutions to meet the changing needs of its clients. In 2008, Axicom was acquired by Cohn & Wolfe , now part of the BCW Global group , allowing it to expand its network and resources globally.

For its part, Ideal was created in 2007 by journalists César and Eduardo Vieira and was acquired by Hill & Knowlton in 2015. Now, Ideal in Brazil will be renamed Ideal Axicom , while its business in Mexico will be called Axicom .

Following the transaction, Matthew Lackie, Axicom’s australia number data Global CEO, will continue in his role. Ricardo Cesar, founder and Global CEO of Ideal, will take on the role of Axicom’s President for Latin America and will also join Axicom’s Global Board, helping to define the network’s international strategies. Burson: A new global entity
With this merger, Burson will be formed by the integration of BCW and Hill & Knowlton, in addition to Axicom and Ideal Axicom as global agencies specializing in technology, innovation and the digital economy . GCI Health , specialized in health, and Buchanan Communications , a financial communications and capital markets advisory firm of WPP, will also be part of the Burson network.


Other BCW Group subsidiaries include Direct Impact and Prime Policy Group . Agency brands under Hill & Knowlton include 3K, Blanc & Otus, Dewey Square Group and JeffreyGroup .

Corey duBrowa, BCW’s global CEO, will retain his title at Burson, while AnnaMaria DeSalva, H&K’s global president and CEO, will serve as president of the combined firm. Other key appointments include Kristine Boyden as CEO of the Americas.
