Run ads on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) that, when clicked, open a WhatsApp chat directly with your business.
Initial Opt-in: The user initiating the conversation by clicking the ad provides a basic level of opt-in, allowing you to respond within the 24-hour customer service window.
Explicit Consent in Chat: Within that initial conversation, use a clear message template to ask for explicit consent for future marketing or promotional messages.
Example: "Welcome to [Your Business Name]! Would whatsapp number list you like to receive exclusive offers and news directly on WhatsApp? Reply YES to subscribe."
Existing Communication Channels:

Email Campaigns: Send an email to your existing email subscribers (who have consented to email marketing) inviting them to opt-in to your WhatsApp list. Include a clear call-to-action (CTA) button linking to your WhatsApp opt-in form or Click-to-WhatsApp link.
SMS Campaigns: Send an SMS to your consented SMS list inviting them to opt-in for WhatsApp updates, perhaps with a link or a keyword to send.
Social Media: Promote your WhatsApp channel on your other social media profiles with clear CTAs and links.
In-Chat Opt-in:

If a customer initiates a conversation with you on WhatsApp (e.g., for support), you can take the opportunity within that conversation to ask if they'd like to receive future updates or promotions.
Example: "Thanks for contacting support! Would you like to also receive important updates or special offers from us on WhatsApp? Reply 'SUBSCRIBE' if yes."
