You're either a fan or you're not. The TikTok platform is continuing to grow. With more than 800 million monthly active users, it is one of the favorite and fastest growing social media channels at the moment. Competitors such as Facebook and YouTube (Google) are seeing more and more young users switching.
To answer this question, Sightly has collected various facts and figures and visually displayed them in the extensive infographic below. The figures provide a good picture of the popularity of the social platform in a nutshell. The data is mainly based on use in the United States, but that does not make the infographic any less interesting. For example, the largest group of users consists of women between the ages of 16 and 24. On average, they spend around 21 hours a month on the platform.
Opportunities to attract attention

This is a challenge for marketers, but at the same time it is also an opportunity to attract attention, for example through advertisements. Or a branded hashtag challenge, where you as a marketer can sponsor challenges.
The possibilities for Dutch organizations and brands are still in their infancy when you look at the possibilities for American marketers, for example. But it looks like Dutch marketers and advertisers will also be able to use more functionalities in the not too distant future.
