The Problem of Starting a Free WordPress or Blogger Blog

Post by Abdur12 »

Almost all budding bloggers ask themselves the same question: Blogspot or WordPress? The free version quickly reaches a ceiling and does not allow you to develop your blog the way you want.

Before launching themselves as an active member of the blogosphere, most future bloggers ask themselves the same question: Blogger or WordPress? In this post I don't really want to answer in detail which of the two platforms is the best.

My personal preference is WordPress(.org) not only because it is the leading blogging platform but also because it is what I have been using since I started 7 years ago (and I don't like changes very much).

I must confess that I am not an expert on platforms, as I jordan list am not familiar with Blogger as a content manager in an operational way. Most of the knowledge comes from comments from participants in the “Course for bloggers” and an exchange with other bloggers.

Advantages of opening a free Blogspot.com or WordPress.com blog
It's not all bad. Opening a blog with Blogspot.com or WordPress.com has some essential advantages, especially if you're just starting out. Depending on what your goals are with your first blog, choosing one of these options may be a good idea to get you started quickly:

It's free of charge : Both WordPress and Google's Blogger offer a basic version free of charge. For the beginning blogger, this can be a risk-free way to find out if the initial spark of blogging doesn't fizzle out after a short time.
No installation required : even if you have very limited internet knowledge, you will be able to create a blog. No technical knowledge is required to have your first blog. Within a few minutes after registering, you can start writing your first post.
Better usability : since the functionalities are limited, basic platforms focus on the essentials. Blogger in particular seems to be suitable for a beginner, since even the limited version of WordPress is more complex if you are using it for the first time.
