Bring together and capitalize on the innovative spirit of thousands of developers. Despite this, the efforts of these developers have only been partially compensated, mainly due to the technical orientation of the support offered and the absence of business models defined by these platforms.
After identifying these limitations and other areas for improvement, Telefónica South Korea Mobile Database has designed a new platform that is focused on the developer's perspective and their monetization needs. This platform is called BlueVia, and in this article we will learn a little more about it.
Beginning
Over the past 4 years, Telefónica has undertaken several developer-related initiatives. Litmus in the UK, Open MovilForum in Spain, the Movistar developer platforms in Mexico and Argentina, and the Vivo platform in Brazil are the most significant examples. Over this time, developers have contributed their experiences, but also their recommendations. Taking into account this experience and feedback, as well as the suggestions raised by the Mobile Economics Report 2010 [2,3] and close collaboration with partners such as Nokia, Microsoft, Oracle and RIM, Telefónica created a new global developer platform called BlueVia.
