Computers and smartphones replace the “click” with “tap”, “flicking”, “pinch” and other ways of interacting that are more natural for people.
The User and Their Digital Experience
The design of digital interfaces is a crucial point in the acceptance or rejection of a system, because if it is too complicated to handle, its users will most likely not use it because from their point of view it causes more problems than solutions. The search for this positive experience is the main driving force behind the evolution of interfaces as we know them. As technology becomes democratized and more and more users who are not computer “experts” adopt it, the industry is always looking to create simpler, more intuitive and easier to use interfaces.
Taking the concept of natural interfaces to the extreme, users will no longer even need to touch their computers: they will respond to the user's presence, voice and movements. This type of interaction will eliminate other concepts of interfaces as we know them today, such as alphanumeric passwords, email-based identities or the use of multiple identities on the Internet, making Austria Mobile Database our interaction with our devices and also with information, software and services in the Cloud much more dynamic and personal. The purpose of developing NUI is, on the one hand, to make technology more accessible to people who are experiencing it for the first time (very young, elderly or very poor people) in order to close the Digital Divide and, on the other hand, to eliminate from our mental processes the complexity associated with using a system and allow us to concentrate on simply using them.
