If our organic traffic had truly

Post by kexej28769@nongnue »

Your site is ranking for more valuable keywords, increasing organic traffic costs.
More competitors have entered the space, making it more expensive to rank for keywords you were bidding on.
Usually it's a combination of both.

A been steadily declining for the past 2 years, we would likely see a similar trend line when looking at our organic traffic cost. However, that's not what we saw.

In March 2015, my client's site's organic traffic cost was $14,300.

In March 2016, the cost of organic traffic was $22,200.

In December 2017, the cost of organic traffic increased all australia number data the way to $69,200. According to SEMrush, we also saw an increase in keywords and traffic.

Seeing all this external data reaffirmed the hypothesis that something must have been off with our tracking.

However, as a final check, I went back to the internal metrics to see if the conversion data had declined at the same rate as organic traffic.

Analyzing and comparing conversion metrics
This seemed like a natural final step to unravel the mystery of this lack of traffic. After all, it’s not organic traffic that’s going to benefit your business (although it’s an important component). The big revenue driver is goal completion and form completion.
