Do: Understand business priorities.

Post by kexej28769@nongnue »

Now that you know more, you can really develop a proposed approach that can appeal to your potential client and allow you and the client to see how you can reach some initial success.

What will fly? What won’t fly? What can we push for uganda number data and what’s off the table? Even if you feel strongly about a particular strategy, if you can’t tailor your work to the client’s business priorities, you may not have a client.

Real world example:
Site A wanted to see how well they could rank against their biggest content SERP competitor like Wikipedia but wanted to keep a sleek, content-light experience. The big-brand SEO vendors working for Site A pushed generic, content-rich SEO best practices. Since Site A wanted solutions that fit their existing workload as well as a sleek, content-light experience, they pushed back.

Vendors couldn't keep the client because they weren't willing to get into the groove of the client's workload and go beyond general best practices. They didn't listen to the client's specific business objectives and work within them.
