I thought I had achieved my goal

Post by Mitu100@ »

Actually, I just wanted to live a simpler life…
My name is Christina Emmer and I have been living and working in my mobile home for 2 years. A year before, I separated from my ex-husband and that was the beginning of my path to simplicity.

The background is briefly explained: Our previous life had become too full. Much too full! We had built a life, a family and a home together.

I was taking care of children, my business and a household that was absolutely overloaded with things we had bought together.

Anyway, I decided at that time to break out of this system.

I finally wanted to live a simpler life!

I spent 6 weeks clearing out the house, bought a mobile home and moved in in June 2018. I gave away everything that didn't fit in the mobile home. In a small 2 square meter china telegram screening storage room I only stored a bed, a small cupboard, a table and a few things that were valuable to me, as well as my accounting documents from the last few years.

Then I thought I was done cleaning up.

But in reality, things were only just getting started!

One level after another
After I finished “simplifying things,” other levels emerged.

One of them was my business.

My cumbersome, relatively rudderless ICE train!

I was still constantly shoveling coal to keep the engine running.

What I forgot while shoveling were three things:

I made no stops (for maintenance and rest).
I did not make a timetable and
I didn't steer.
Slowly but surely, everyone knew about the speeding Christina train that was traveling across coaching country, but actually fewer and fewer people dared to ride on the train because no one knew exactly where the train would go or stop.
