What keeps your reader awake at night?

Post by Mitu100@ »

If your newsletter only spreads "news", then there's nothing special about it. News is thrown at you everywhere. What your newsletter needs is content that only you have. And only in your newsletter. That's why I regularly send content to my newsletter that is not publicly accessible. There are also valuable e-books ONLY for my newsletter subscribers. Give your readers a reason to be part of your list. Be exclusive.
2. Fast pace

Don't just write your newsletter casually. The introduction in particular needs to be well thought out. Here I recommend a crisp and intense writing style that stands out from all the nonsense that cameroon telegram screening usually lands in your inbox. Speak to the reader directly, get them out of their coma. Write briefly. Write directly. Use lots of paragraphs. Do you notice how paragraphs increase the speed of the text? Good old Pulitzer already knew: "Write briefly, then they will read you."

There are people on Facebook that nobody wants on their friends list. They post their biceps, their six-pack and how they sweat in the gym. We are put off by such boasting because it has no connection to us. The other person is only interested in themselves, not in us. Newsletter readers are also put off when the newsletter is only about the product and the company. That is like self-congratulation. Nobody wants to read that. Instead: write about the reader and their worries. Be sensitive to the person you are talking to. Don't write about your new "features", write about how you can improve the reader's life with your features.
