Create a form in ActiveCampaign

Post by Mitu100@ »

200180901-webinarname for those who registered for your webinar on September 1st, 2018. This means that you combine the date of an event with a brief description of what happened. I didn't do it that way, I called the tags webinar1, webinar2, webinar3 and so on - not super clever!

Forms and Double Opt In
This section is actually worth a whole blog post of its own - so I can only go into it very briefly here. (Are you interested in more detail? Then let me know in the comments!)

In order to collect addresses for your list, you need at least one form in ActiveCampaign. You can set this up in the menu under "Forms". Resist the temptation to collect bulgaria telegram screening a lot of information from your subscribers. In addition to the fact that every additional piece of information requested (title, telephone number, location, etc.) massively increases the drop-out rate, it is also not permitted under German data protection law. The technical term for this is "data economy" and our judges are of the opinion that the only thing required to send a newsletter is the email address. I actually ask for the first name too, because I find it much friendlier when I, the recipient, am addressed by my name than if there is just a "Hello!" or nothing at all. You have to make the decision yourself - you can only make the address a mandatory field.

You simply create the form in ActiveCampaign using the green button at the top right with "+ New Form" (unfortunately, the German localization is still very incomplete and so you have to expect quite a linguistic mess if you don't leave everything in English right away).

With this mask you start the form creation
In the Lite version there is only one way to create a form. You give it a name and enter the list name as the list (it is already there). You could now add an action (for example, assign a day) but I won't do that at this point. Then click on the green button with "Create" and you're good to go.

Then you come to the form designer. Here you can enter fields, delete them, and design the form visually. If you also work with ThriveLeads, you can save yourself a lot of work here.
