Touchless.ai is a new technology that can be used for touch-screen menus in restaurants or kiosks in airports to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. It allows users to engage voice control in digital kiosks instead of touching touchscreens to order a product.
The company has also launched trials of the technology in the US and some European countries. Touchless.ai, created by Roy Baharv and Eyal Shapiro, supports Hebrew, English and Japanese and is available for iOS and Android. The app has been optimized for noisy environments.
Dubai: Attack of the Robots
Robots are becoming increasingly popular in Dubai. After the pandemic, the nepal number data country introduced them to kill germs in some public facilities such as hospitals and airports. And last week, the city opened a new RoboCafe, where customers are served by machines.
In September 2020, Dubai International Airport deployed a robot named Rahal, which means “traveler” in Arabic, to assist passengers at the airport. It is part of the customer service team at the world’s largest terminal, Terminal 3. But Rahal has not improved Dubai’s airport traffic, which fell by 70% in 2020.
Bahrain: A way to cope with the crisis
During the first lockdown, Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air entered into a partnership with travel technology provider ANIXE. The airline invested in ANIXE’s Resfinity Air online booking platform, which enabled the carrier to move to digital technology to reallocate aircraft and change the seating ratio in the cabin.
ANIXE has also helped Gulf Air increase online bookings. Previously, ticket changes were only possible through call centers or travel agency partners, but that is a thing of the past as automation becomes one of the key survival factors for many businesses in the coming years.
Testing should begin in March 2021
