There is no general consensus on the definition of intelligence. We usually associate intelligence with the cognitive ability to solve problems of a linguistic, logical, mathematical or sense-oriented nature.

Artificial intelligence can now be understood as the attempt to replicate certain human decision-making structures for the purpose of automating processes.
