Basic parameters and indicators

Post by nusaiba127 »

Most reports in GA consist of dimensions and metrics. Dimensions are slices of data by which quantitative metrics are aggregated, such as a traffic source report.

Traffic source is a parameter, sessions are an indicator. The total number of sessions for a certain period of time is calculated by traffic sources.

Depending on the report configuration in GA, you can display up to 5 parameters and up to 25 indicators.

Let's look at some basic GA metrics that can give us a first idea of user behavior.

Users
Conventionally, users are the number of unique people who visited the site over a certain period. To be more precise, users are the number of browsers from which users visited the site. If, for example, the same person first came from one browser, and then from another, then for GA these will be 2 different users.
