We asked the Brandformance team which advertisements had made their mark and this is what they answered.
Mati said: “The ad that had the biggest impact on me was Sprite ’s Pride Day ad because it reflected and made visible a lot of realities and feelings that I had inside me.” The soda brand made a very moving and creative Pride Day spot in which they focused not on people from the LGTBIQ+ community , but on their parents and relatives, who helped them prepare for the march. Emotionality is the strong point of this spot.
Luz explained: “I don’t know new zealand email list if it was the one that left the biggest mark on me, but the one that marked a before and after in Argentina was Claro ’s (the one about “clavo que te clavadejo la sombrilla”). We were all singing it all the time.” At that time, Claro used humor and catchy music for its advertising.
Allo added: “The ad that had the biggest impact on me was one from Oreo , about 10 years ago , because it brings back many fond memories of my childhood and makes me nostalgic.” In that spot, the cookie brand portrays a grandfather eating Oreos with his granddaughter. Once again, emotion plays a fundamental role.
Facu chose the Cannon mattress brand because of its repetitive and very catchy jingle, although he admits that at certain times it becomes very boring, especially when it gets stuck in our minds. The song resource is widely used and usually creates good results, as it makes the brand present in the consumer's mind.
Cris declares himself a fan of Quilmes ' commercials , especially those of the Argentine national team , which are reproduced and renewed mostly every 4 years , during World Cup times. They almost always appeal to the country's emotionality and unity.
Lis smiles when she remembers her favorite commercial, “ The Llama That Calls ” by Telecom . This one is remembered by almost all Argentines over 25 years old , since it had a lot of repercussions due to how funny they were. Humor is a great resource to advertise a product. We only need to think back to realize that most of the commercials we remember are the ones that made us laugh.
And for you, what is the formula?
There are no secrets to successful advertising, but we can define it as a combination of humour, memories, surprise and catchy music. These elements are present in all the advertisements mentioned above by the Brandformance team.
