The topic of poetry at the conference was touched upon not only by Ilya Gusev. Mariana Zorkina spoke about how modern computer technologies help research in the field of reading fiction. The speaker demonstrated different approaches to understanding poetry (basic statistics, neural networks, etc.). All this was discussed using classical Chinese poetry as an example. Chinese poems were chosen as a visual example due to their special complex system of images and transition to other texts.
All reports presented at the conference were accompanied by the participation of the audience. Each speaker answered questions that the audience had. Those questions that the audience did not have time to ask during the conference could be discussed with the author of the report in the hall or in the lobby. The program was interesting for humanities researchers and data science specialists.
