Telegram is one of the most widely used messaging apps by Internet users. You can send messages to your friends, create conversation groups, join channels of interest, send stickers, etc. As its messages are end-to-end encrypted, the conversations that take place on this app are protected, which has also caused certain problems.

Russia
One of the most notorious problems was when, in Russia in 2017, the Telegram team refused to give encryption codes to the government or to offer transparency reports. It would have to do so if it did not want to be blocked in the country. However, in April 2018, the regional blocking of the application was announced.
In this way, Durov, the creator of Telegram , promised to find solutions that led to starting to use a proxy to avoid the blockade. This new functionality was called MTProto Proxy and can still be used today . Many companies adopted this measure as an alternative, despite the efforts of the Russian government to remove the application from the Apple Store as well as the Google Play Store. They even removed the results when searching for the name of the app in Yandex, the most famous search engine in the Russian country. Finally, the blockade ended in 2020, when Telegram reached an agreement with the Russian Government in which it would help in extremist investigations.
