Acceleration Programs in LATAM: Differences and Ideal Features

Post by mstajminakter16 »

I hope this week has been a dream week for everyone . While we are doing discovery at SquadS Ventures, there is a constant question that has me thinking about acceleration programs in LATAM.

What is missing from acceleration programs in LATAM?
I have had the opportunity to do corporate softlanding and lead acceleration programs in LATAM. Now, with SquadS building companies, I am really asking myself what I would like to have in an acceleration program looking at what is in LATAM. To truly accelerate, I would like to have an accelerator that accelerates an already conceived process rather than accelerating my knowledge in SAFE and onboarding. Here are some key insights:

16 weeks of sales processes: how to sell, how to close, how to follow-up, how to recover lost customers and how to open markets.

Focus on accelerating the heart of companies, which is sales.

Clearly differentiate between what is an acceleration and what is an incubation.

Let's delve a little deeper into these points to better understand what we really list of mexico cell phone numbers need in an acceleration program in LATAM.

Contextualizing the situation in LATAM
In LATAM, acceleration and incubation programs have grown exponentially in recent years. However, the terms and objectives of each are often confused. Acceleration should focus on companies that already have a product or service on the market and need to scale quickly. On the other hand, incubation focuses more on the initial phase of an idea, helping entrepreneurs develop their concept and create a viable business model.

In my experience, I have seen that many acceleration programs in LATAM end up spending too much time on aspects that should be part of an incubation. This not only dilutes the purpose of the program, but can also be a waste of time and resources for startups that are already ready to scale.
