RankBrain divides the world into entities

Post by nishat@264 »

About entities and search intent
With the Hummingbird update, Google was already able to make significant contributions to the semantic clarity of search queries in its analysis, but with RankBrain, a system has been created that continuously learns more about search intent and thus what is being searched for with each search query. Furthermore, with the RankBrain update, Google is able to independently optimize its algorithm .

A person makes a search query (keyword input)
RankBrain translates the keyword into entities (for example, Google knows that Germany, Deutschland and Allemange belong to the country entity)
Then Google returns results for the entity
Based on the bounce rate and return to SERP , Google evaluates whether a page has satisfied people
If not: Then new, different pages are suggested and denmark cell phone number list the entity of the keyword is adjusted if necessary
If yes: Then the page gains ranking and the concept of the keyword is adjusted if necessary
Search intent as a benchmark
However, understanding search intent is not the only thing that has influenced RankBrain. All well-known ranking factors such as

Backlinks,
Freshness of content,
Content length,
Domain authority
etc
are thus placed in relation to the fulfillment of search intent . As a result, they lose their previously undisputed ranking influence. Whereas previously it was said that texts could no longer be short, but had to be very detailed, now fulfillment of search intent takes top priority over length among ranking factors.

This means: If RankBrain understands that a short, concise text provides a better answer than a long and detailed article, then the shorter article will be rewarded with a better ranking.
