Child care, food security, auto insurance, and housing stability—colleges and universities are now able to support students with assistance beyond traditional financial aid. Some states, like California, are investing millions of dollars to build basic needs support. But to champion these programs, institutions need more than goodwill—they need streamlined digital process automation systems to succeed.

How does automation help strengthen support for basic needs on campus?
Until recently, most on-campus programs relied on the belief that students were supported by their parents. But a New America study found that the average student is 26.4 years old, while another survey found that half of students go to off-campus food banks .
