How do you get started with personal summaries?

Post by arzina998 »

3. Based on automatic matching
The personal summary based on automatic matching is not based on the personal input of the subscriber, but on his (online) behavior. After getting to know a subscriber, we learn (based on his open, click and website behavior) what preferences he has for content or we can estimate what his (expected) intentions are. Based on this behavior, we calculate what the subscriber might find interesting. With this type of personal summary, a match is made between learned personal interests and the properties of the available content. Based on business logic, positions in a newsletter are filled with subjects that we think are interesting or that have the greatest chance of matching the profile.

Before your organization can start sending out personalized summaries, it's important to ask yourself a few questions and follow a few steps.

1. Lay all your newsletters side by side
First of all, it is important to compare home business opportunity seekers all your newsletters. How many newsletters do you have? And do you really need all of these newsletters? Also look at your subscribers and how much overlap there is between the subscribers of the newsletters. Do you know how many different newsletters subscriber X receives? Do you have many newsletters and is there also a lot of overlap between the subscribers? Then it is interesting to look at personal summaries.

2. Consider the topics you communicate about
Now that you know whether it is interesting to start sending personal summaries, ask yourself the following questions: what topics do I communicate about? How many topics do I communicate about? Does the same topic appear in multiple newsletters? And can you link these topics to certain subscribers?

If you conclude that you communicate about many different topics, and you can answer the last two questions with 'yes', then the personal summaries based on manual selection are suitable for your organization.

Does your organization have a place where subscribers can indicate their interests, a so-called preference center? Can your subscribers determine their own interests here instead of subscribing to newsletters? Then you can start with personal summaries based on profile linking.
