More success with a newsletter sequence

Post by Mitu100@ »

At first I did it like this: Without having prepared a newsletter sequence, I simply "collected" email addresses for my newsletter, the magic spells. As soon as a new contact was on the list, they received the magic spells regularly every week and every now and then a promotional email. So far, so good.

However, I did not take advantage of the opportunities offered by newsletter marketing – and that was clear to me from the start.

You can take your newsletter marketing to the next level with a newsletter sequence to welcome your new reader. By building a relationship with your new reader right from the start, showing them your best side, providing them with tips and advice, and taking the opportunity to present your entire offering. I see my newsletter sequence as a series of small gifts that I give at the beginning of our getting to know each other.

In my blog post about ActiveCampaign's automatic autoresponder , I described back in autumn 2016 how I imagined my newsletter sequence at the time. It actually took me almost nine months before I actually set up my first sequence myself. That was because I blocked myself with my ideas about how I wanted to design the sequence.

Hence my first tip:

Keep your first newsletter sequence simple
Of course it's cool if you shoot a video and greet your new subscriber "personally". Of course it's cool if you can make great offers that the subscriber won't want to turn down. And of course sophisticated sequences with countless branches offer you " even more" possibilities.

But first, just start.

Once you have understood how everything works in principle, you just do more step by step. I now have a very simple sequence of five emails that build on each other. No branches, no video, no frills. I now know what is well received - and what doesn't work so well.

This brings me to my second tip:

Check the success of your newsletter sequence
Once you have been using it for a while, you can take a closer look at your newsletter sequence. Which links are being clicked? Are there orders or at least contacts and inquiries via your emails? If so, does this correspond to what you want and what you can also handle? Or is what you are getting from it not enough? Then you need to change something!
