What is site metrics

Post by subornaakter24 »

A website metric is a parameter that represents a particular action of a resource user. This could be a click on a link, an ad click, time spent, bounce rate, etc. There are actually many metrics, and all of them require careful analysis if its owner wants to grow and develop on the Internet.

There is a service of the same name - Yandex.Metrica, which analyzes these very parameters (hence, by the way, the name). In addition to it, there are other programs and even plugins that allow you to track the metrics of not only your site, but also someone else's. The latter should not be ignored if you want to be ahead of everyone else.

The purpose of installing any counter on a forex email list website is to collect data. What happens when a user visits a website? The browser starts loading the HTML code of the pages, plus CSS and JavaScript files are loaded.

The site counter immediately starts working and generates a metric, i.e. sends information to the server about the download (indicating the route, type of device and operating system installed on it), identifier and much more. And while the visitor is on the site, the system continues to track all his actions and collect statistics.

If the user leaves one page and opens another, the counter immediately notes this action and forms a new set of data (the fact of viewing, etc.). This is, in fact, what it is - site metrics. If the visitor stays on the page longer than 15 seconds, then the analytics system triggers a signal about the fact of non-refusal. If the visit was shorter, then a message with the opposite meaning is received.

The collected information in the form of ready tables is sent to the server. Most modern counters work with columnar database types, which simplifies their storage and processing, allowing the use of a minimum of capacity.
