Identifying competitors in search results is an important point. You can identify them by answering two questions. The first question: what other companies do users compare your company to? The second question: who is shown together with your company in search results?

The first question usually does not cause any difficulties, but the second one can be answered correctly only using special services, for example, SEMrush.
