If the GTM is used for website or app tagging, the corresponding GA4 tags must be set up in the Tag Manager so that it is filled. Simply creating the GA4 property in the analytics interface is not enough. This requires a certain level of know-how regarding tagging and the correct use of the data layer.

Create or connect a Google Analytics 4 property
Click on Administration (the desired account should be selected, if only one Google Analytics account exists, it is already selected)
In the Property column, select the Universal Analytics property (which is currently collecting data for the website)
Under Property, click on “GA4 Property Setup Wizard”
Select "I want to create a new Google Analytics 4 property"
If the gtag.js tag has been integrated into the website, data argentina mobile numbers list collection can be activated using this tag. However, if a website builder, a CMS (e.g. WordPress) or Google Tag Manager is used or the website is tagged with analytics.js, the existing tagging cannot be used and the tag must be inserted yourself ( see the following section ).
Click on "Create Property"
Then, with the help of the wizard, the following happens:
a. A new Google Analytics 4 property is created.

b. Property name, website URL, time zone and currency are copied from the Universal Analytics property.

c. If the website has included gtag.js as described in step 5 above and “Enable data collection using existing tags” has been selected, a connected website tag will be created for the UA and GA4 properties.

d. The two properties are linked together. BUT the new GA4 property is not filled with historical data, but only tracks from the day of creation.

e. Optimized analytics are enabled in the GA4 property.

f. At the top of the Google Analytics 4 Property Setup Wizard page, you will see the message “Your properties are now linked”. Click “Go to GA4 property” to be redirected to the setup wizard in the new Google Analytics 4 property

Enter measurement ID (under Administration > Property > Data streams)
