The first signs of an "impending" price increase were already there in February 2023: A member in the ActiveCampaign Facebook group reported that he had received an email announcing a significant price increase. On March 16, I also received this email, with the following text:
Therefore, we want to inform you that the price of your ActiveCampaign subscription will change to $61 ( USD ) per month on 7/4/2023.
If you would like to keep your ghana telegram screening current monthly plan, switch to an annual plan by March 26, 2023 .
The new price will enable us to further improve our platform, invest in developing a new type of customer experience and support your growth.

First reaction to the price increase
Of course, my first reaction to the price increase was " WHAT ? Are they doing something wrong? More than doubling the price?! That's a license to print money!" and a few other things that aren't really fit to print here.
But let's take a sober look at what is happening here. Then I will look at the possible options, especially for solopreneurs, and at the end you will find the reason for my decision.
My ActiveCampaign Experience
I have been using ActiveCampaign since 2016 - at the time of writing this post, that's almost exactly seven years. In online business, that's a period of time that's equivalent to a historical period. Something like the Renaissance in our European history. In other words: I've been loyal to ActiveCampaign for a damn long time.
There are reasons for this.
Marketing with newsletters is one of the best options for small businesses. It is relatively inexpensive, easy to implement and the leads (i.e. contacts) you generate are truly yours. In my opinion, email marketing is essential if you have an online business.
