At the beginning of 2020, it was hard to imagine that companies would be able to realize a large proportion of their projects through teams working together remotely. In 2022, working from home and project work with online tools will be normal everyday life for many people. New forms of work, new business models, new challenges. Once again, changes in companies and in their environment are being massively accelerated.

Managers and decision-makers can either watch as this dynamic surprises their companies, or they can consciously use agile methods to actively shape the transformation.

Agile initiatives rarely start today without prior experience. Many companies have now gained initial experience with agile methods. However, in an organization that wants to create comprehensive new zealand consumer email list change, not every step can be planned precisely. How people in the company will behave during this process cannot be predicted. In my view, it is part of the process to sometimes stray from the path. We have learned from a variety of projects that in agile transformations the question always arises as to where the organization currently stands with its agile efforts. Are we still on the right track? Which new influencing factors must be taken into account? How do we finally manage to coordinate internal and external dependencies in a targeted manner? Does the chosen agile framework still fit? Which cultural aspects do we have to consider? Where do we pick up our employees?

In order to answer these questions together with our customers, a working group from adesso's cross-departmental Agile Community of Practice has developed an interactive format for determining the status of agile teams and organizations: the Agile Assessment from adesso.

Characteristics and added value of the Agile Assessment from adesso
The Agile Assessment from adesso is a multi-layered workshop format that helps companies assess how far the organization's efforts to date have already taken it and which issues require action.

The format is characterized by the fact that time is taken in a structured approach to objectively and transparently reflect on previous experiences and to be able to openly identify current areas of action. Building on this, concrete measures and a vision for the next steps on the agile journey can be developed together in accordance with our adesso approach. The goals and strategies are always the focus.

In this way, we provide companies with orientation in agile transformation, and the benefits of agility for the individual context become apparent. In addition, anchor points are highlighted, through the observation of which the success of agile approaches can be measured. The added value is created through the discussions and exchange between different levels in the company.
