Frederick Winslow Taylor is the author of “ The Principles of Scientific Management ”, published in 1911. This book laid the foundations for the scientific organization of work in factories (Taylorism).
Taylor's principles substantially improved business productivity, but were widely criticized for dehumanizing workers.
Of course, academic production on the scientific organization of work multiplied and several scientific methods for improving productivity appeared . One of them was the Just in Time (JIT) planning system, also known as the Toyota method.
This method features an element called Kanban , a large board in which each column commercial real estate email list represents a state in the manufacturing process. In turn, each column contains cards representing the items that are being represented in a given state of the production process.

kanban
Of course, a Kanban board doesn't end there. It has other elements, but for the purposes of this article it's enough to know what its structure is. You're going to create your own planning system based on your needs.
Jeroen Sangers from the personal productivity blog "Canasto" explains in his book Effective Time how to apply the Kanban method to work tasks.
This method is actually a project management tool , so it can be very useful for a professional Community Manager. Trello is a free application for creating kanbans. It includes a paid version for companies. Of course, it is not the only tool. There are many others.
The important thing is that you understand the concept behind using columns and cards. In fact, the board can be a whiteboard hanging in your office with columns for status and tasks (they would be the cards – you can use post-its).
When you need more elements and more detail in your project management, it is better to use software. While many specialists recommend the Kanban method for coordinating work teams due to its collaborative use system (everyone can see the tasks that are in progress, those that have already been done and the bottlenecks), a Community Manager or social media manager can adapt it to their own project management.
That said, let's see what the organizational options are on a KANBAN (board) for a Community Manager or social media specialist.
