New gTLDs multiply the opportunities for doing business on the Internet.

If until now we have all seen domains ending in .com, .net, .org…, from now on we will have to get used to seeing websites with domains such as: .abogado, .viajes, .madrid, .gay

It was clear that the current generic, territorial and secondary gTLDs were having difficulty responding to the growing number of domains that come online afghanistan phone numbers every day (estimated at more than 50,000) to respond to a greater number of users who are increasingly using the Internet from mobile devices.

These have been some of the reasons that led ICCAN ( Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to accept applications from organizations that wanted to have their own segment of Internet namespaces.

In the next two years, the Internet will go from having 22 TLDs (although the most commonly used are .com, .net, .gov and .edu) to more than 1,000 extensions, which will allow organizations, companies, social groups and cities around the world to operate domain endings of all kinds.

These new domains can be registered with both ASCII and IDN (non-Latin characters) and will be classified into four different categories.
