Define goals and standards

Now comes the exciting part. You have two key elements of your communication strategy: the goals to be achieved and the rules of the game.
As we've said, you need to choose channels that make sense for your company's goals. Next, you need to codify the rules so that external parties know what to expect from you.
For example, if one of your KPIs is improving client communication, you'll need to work on email deliverability, email tracking, pre- and post-meeting reports, and messaging protocols.
Decide how much you want to share about a project, when clients should expect updates, and what deliverables should look like. Get into the details and create templates to streamline everything. You can also use one of ClickUp’s Communication Plan Templates to get started.
3. Explain expectations
Internally, things work better when teams know what their managers expect of them. And it's up to you to spell it out.
Share a handout explaining your management style, your likes and dislikes at work, your communication chairman email lists preferences, and team expectations. This will help employees understand you better.
