What is transport infrastructure and what is written about it in the federal law? What is the difference between PGS and construction of linear objects? What does the structure of the digital model of a linear object look like and how complex is the structure of the project for its construction?

Project and Model Structure
Differences between BIM and InfraBIM
BIM for estimating
These were the main questions raised at the beginning of her report at the February phone numbers in el salvador BIM breakfast by Irina Shchekanova, a designer of linear objects with 25 years of experience, currently holding the position of head of the TIM department at OOO IC MiT. In addition to the speeches of other speakers, she also briefly spoke about software for developing CIM of linear objects and how BIM can help in addition to modeling.

According to Federal Law No. 16-FZ “On Transport Security”, transport infrastructure facilities are a technological complex that includes:
Railway stations and terminals, bus terminals and terminals
Metropolitan
Tunnels, overpasses, bridges
Marine terminals, seaport water areas
In other words, this is not slang, but a term enshrined in law. To make it easier to distinguish between infrastructure objects, the term InfraBIM is also used in the context of information modeling technologies.
The concept of "linear objects" is also legislatively enshrined in the Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation. These include power lines, communication lines, pipelines, highways, railway lines and other similar structures. Separately, Irina Shchekanova noted the advantage in that the Civil Code of the Russian Federation also clearly defines the concepts of "reconstruction of linear objects" and "major repairs of linear objects":
“When we start developing technical solutions, we need to clearly distinguish the boundary between these two concepts,” the expert emphasized.
Project and Model Structure
Touching upon the topic of the project structure, Irina Shchekanova noted that the buildings are in fact elements of an infrastructure facility, which makes the entire project even more complex than the construction of area facilities.
But at the same time, unfortunately, there is no comprehensive ecosystem for linear objects that allows designing everything down to the smallest elements. Despite the fact that there are such software packages for them from IndorSoft, TOPOMATIC and KREDO, etc., there is not enough software for designing bridges, conducting engineering surveys, and assembling consolidated models.
In connection with this feature, the dissemination and improvement of the common IFC data exchange format is especially important for the construction of infrastructure facilities.
