Basic ingredients for business presentations that work

Anyone who works in sales for a company knows that it is a really difficult job. I am going to speak in the first person plural, because after many years trying to sell my services and those of my companies, I have learned the hard way a few things that may be useful to you.

Solution . Clearly explain your positioning statement and how you will solve the problems.
Method . Explain how you solve the problem, what your style is, how you face challenges and who you count on to help you do so.
Benefits . Specify whether your company saves costs, time or improves productivity. Don't forget to put data on the table if you have it.
Technology . If you have strategic alliances, a special certification or can associate your logo with others, this is the right place.
Specialties . Demonstrate that you are up to date with technology, training or that you regularly manage industry trends.
Close your flanks . Your interlocutor has surely found loopholes in your speech. Use this slide to answer questions that have not been asked in this presentation, but that are always asked by others. Talk about your advantages over other alternatives or your competition.
Call to action . Just like there is a CTA in every post you see on this blog, it invites whoever sees your presentation to advance in the buyer's journey by asking them to contact you, download something, or visit your website.
