With a stroke of a pen: what awaits the electronic signature in 2022

Post by rakhirhif8963 »

The new version of the law "On Electronic Signature" has radically changed the practice of using EP that has developed over a decade. The amendments have reshaped both the procedure for obtaining and the practice of using digital signatures. As a result, in 2022, when all the new points of the law come into effect, businesses will find themselves in a new digital reality.

An electronic signature (ES) is a tool for certifying digital documents, confirming their immutability and signature by a specific owner. Today, when interacting with counterparties and government agencies, no modern legal entity can do without an ES, and the frequency of its use in internal document flow is growing. Since 2011, when Federal Law No. 63 "On Electronic Signature" was adopted, businesses have managed to get used to and adapt to the established rules.

However, the EP, which was supposed to protect colombia whatsapp data document management, turned out to be vulnerable itself. Fraudsters discovered that it is not so difficult to get hold of digital keys - they can not only be stolen or taken away, but also simply issued in the name of a person who does not even suspect it. The attackers legally issued the EP and were able to draw up a deed of gift for real estate to a fictitious person through the Rosreestr portal. After this one high-profile crime, the question arose of increasing the level of security of electronic confirmation mechanisms. At the end of December 2019, the President of Russia signed Federal Law No. 476 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Electronic Signature", which revised the rules for obtaining and using the EP.
