The final problem with managing devices, especially personal, non-company devices, is apps that the company can't control. Android is ahead of Apple in that Google gives MDM administrators much tighter control over how data is stored and shared on the device. IT leaders have begun to prioritize security as an IT funding priority, new research shows. Red Hat technology evangelist Gordon Huff analyzes the changing landscape for the Enterprisers Project , as IT security has historically been overlooked.
Digital transformation has accelerated, but funding the cultural change that goes with it doesn’t seem to be a priority for IT leaders. That’s the conclusion of Red Hat’s Global Tech Outlook 2021 survey , conducted between July and September 2020 among 1,470 IT professionals, mostly from companies with more than $100 million in annual revenue, both Red Hat customers and a broader range of industry experts.
