Digitalization is on everyone's lips. It should no longer be a secret that it is now a key factor in the growth of companies. Several studies have already proven this. However, companies are still asking themselves to what extent this development is relevant for them and what challenges it brings with it. This topic was also present at the dmexco 2017. Therefore, we took the opportunity to ask Mike Schnoor , Senior Partner & CCO of Guts&Glory GmbH , three questions about marketing digitalization in German companies.
Digital Transformation, Marketing Digitization and Marketing Automation in Companies
Norbert Diedrich:
In your article “Digital Transformation: The Problem norway whatsapp data Child of the German Economy” in Digibuzz , you write : “The problem is in the minds of all decision-makers, which is reflected either in a lack of problem-solving skills or sheer ignorance of digitalization.” So what is the cause of the problem – a lack of technical competence or communicative incompetence?
Mike Schnorr:
Mike SchnorrCommunication skills are the basic prerequisite for digitalization. Of course, companies must first understand how the technology and its application work. Every employee should be enabled to communicate! This is a previously rare approach to employee involvement that was simply not normal in the company. But it is important that both aspects, technical understanding and communication, prevail in all areas of the company.
Germany, once a "model country" in Europe, is only in the middle of the pack when it comes to digitization. That is more than embarrassing. Mobile payment is a good indicator. If you look at Scandinavia, mobile electronic payment has become a matter of course for consumers. In this country, it sometimes only starts at 20 euros with a Maestro card.
