What are micro-conversions?

A micro-conversion is when you set the action just before the final conversion you want to measure as a provisional conversion.
For example, let's consider measuring the purchase of a product as a conversion.
If your site is structured as follows: "Home page" → "Product page" → "Purchase selection" → "Input form" → "Thank you page," a normal conversion setting would typically consider the viewing of the thank you page after completing information entry to be a conversion. However, with micro conversions, the viewing of the input form for information just before making a purchase is set as a conversion.
