A micro-conversion is when you set the action just before the final conversion you want to measure as a provisional conversion.

For example, let's consider measuring the purchase of a product as a conversion.

If your site is structured as follows: "Home page" → "Product page" → "Purchase selection" → "Input form" → "Thank you page," a normal conversion setting would typically consider the viewing of the thank you page after completing information entry to be a conversion. However, with micro conversions, the viewing of the input form for information just before making a purchase is set as a conversion.

By doing so, it is easier to collect conversion data risk managers email database than if only viewing a thank you page was set as a conversion, and it is possible to speed up machine learning.

Things to be aware of

Micro conversions are set up solely to increase conversions for the final action, such as completing a purchase, which is the original purpose.

Therefore, rather than simply increasing the amount of data you can measure, you need to set up micro-conversions by making hypotheses about the actions that users will take that will lead to a final conversion.
