Just as we're getting used to virtual reality, a few new ones have appeared. Augmented, mixed, and augmented reality - what is it? Where are they used and how do they differ from regular reality? Let's try to figure it out.

VR – virtual reality
with and almost everyone understands. The dream of gamers argentina number data and escapists: an artificial world that is transmitted to the brain through all six of our senses and, ideally, is indistinguishable from the present.

There are many application options:

games;
immersive feature films;
documentary 3D tours of landmarks and museums;
3D tours of hotels and real estate;
3D simulations for training various professions.
The concept of virtual reality is closely related to the ability of technology to "fool" a person's senses, making them "believe" in an artificial world. It is still difficult with all six senses, but with the main ones - vision and hearing - the situation is improving every year.

Vision. A computer can generate a three-dimensional "picture" that is indistinguishable from the real one right now. However, so far drawing such an image takes a lot of time even on the most powerful computers. But this is just a matter of the near future. Computer graphics experts predict the emergence of affordable machines capable of generating realistic 3D images in real time within the next 10-20 years.

Video transmission is also not bad. Modern VR systems are able to provide an immersive effect even with an imperfect “picture” of 3D games. In VR glasses, the image for each eye is formed separately – this provides a stereo effect, which gives the artificial image depth. And tracking the turns and tilts of the head using a gyroscope literally makes the brain believe in the reality of the drawn picture.
