Last week, we had further proof that Brand Safety is indeed one of the most important topics in the digital universe at the moment. Facebook announced the launch of an additional Brand Safety certification for marketing partners (third-party companies that perform media verification). The goal is to give advertisers more options and better control over where their ads appear.

It’s not that Facebook has simply ignored brand safety up until now. Not at all. Advertisers already had access to blocklists and publisher cambodia email list removals, for example. The idea now is to give marketers even more resources to keep ads away from sensitive content, which is still very common on Facebook.

Two companies already have the seal
Two companies are already certified in Brand Safety by the Facebook Marketing Partners program: Double Verify and Open Slate.

Double Verify is a provider of data, measurement and analytics software. Together with the company, an interface for information contained in the social network was developed, allowing for more assertive block lists.

On the other hand, Open Slate focuses on video content, which is increasingly used on Facebook. The company will provide security assessments for all in-stream content on the social network, as it has been in the market for years specializing in data science in social videos.

Additionally, Open Slate will also identify and exclude sensitive content with dynamic blocklists and generate insights into engagement with videos and pages.
